We are pleased to announce our first public talks of the Autumn this October. We’re very lucky that Rosi Fischer, a Buddhist teacher from Germany, will lead a 2-day course on “Meditation in Daily Life” during the evenings of Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October.
About the course
The Buddha taught many methods for skillfully working with mind. Among these, meditation techniques are very important and have several aims: they free us from disturbing emotions; help us to realise the dreamlike nature of our experience (while strengthening our compassionate ability to help others to do the same); and allow us to recognise the timeless and perfect potential of mind.
This short series of talks will give an overview of the types of Buddhist meditation, focussing in particular on how these methods can be used in our daily lives, and will include guided Diamond Way Buddhist meditations. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You don’t have to come to all the sessions to attend. All are welcome!
