On Saturday 6th July we are very pleased to host an Open House Day at our centre in Sheung Wan. It’s a great chance for anyone new to Buddhism to come and visit the centre and see what we are up to.
The centre will open from 11am and everyone is free to come along, have a look around the centre, have a tea or coffee and talk to some of the members. There will also be a chance to take part in a meditation for those interested.
At 3pm, for those who want to get some more information, there will be a public talk “Introduction to Buddhism” – this talk will be very useful for newcomers.
Finally, we will round the day off with a move night – which will include the first public screening of the film “Secret Jounrey to East Tibet” in Hong Kong. The film documents a journey made by Lama Ole Nydahl and some of his friends in 1986 through the forbidden area of east Tibet where they visited places and monasteries as the first western visitors. The show will start at 7pm – popcorn will be provided!
