Zsuzsa met her main teacher, Lama Ole Nydahl, in 1990 in Hungary. She started teaching Buddhism in 1996, and has travelled extensively around the world since that time. She has completed many courses on Buddhist philosophy and meditation at KIBI (the Karmapa International Buddhist Institute in Delhi). She lives in the Diamond Way Center in Budapest, of which she says “I deeply appreciate living there, and it is the source of many learning experiences”.
We will have two lectures on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November.
On Wednesday, Zsuzsa will talk about “Working with Disturbing Emotions”and will explain how one can integrate Buddhist teachings and meditation into our every day lives, providing the tools we need to transform the emotional ups and downs we experience into a state of awareness and joy. As our disturbing feelings dissolve, we are able to experience the true nature of mind more and more: a state of space and bliss inseparable.
On Thursday, Zsuzsa will explain “The Teacher Student Relationship” – this is one of the really central topics in Diamond Way Buddhism. According to the highest level of Buddha’s teachings, the teacher is so important because we see him or her not as a person or god, but as a mirror to our own potential. Showing us our timeless nature with countless skillful means, here the teacher actually represents the Buddha.
Both talks will start at 7.30pm, and the venue if our centre in Sheung Wan. The talks will cost HK$100 (or HK$60 for concessions) and are suitable to those both new and old to Buddhism.
We very much hope you can join us there – Zsuzsa is an inspiring teacher!
